As a photographer who specializes in capturing women in every season, I CHERISH creating Motherhood Minis every year (also called Mommy & Me Minis) for one reason:

👉 To give you beautiful, heartfelt photos with your babies — not just of them.

Because years from now, they won’t remember how tired you were, or whether your hair was done.
They’ll remember how it felt to be wrapped in your arms.
And they’ll be so glad to have photos of it.

What Are Motherhood Mini Sessions?

Motherhood Minis are short, sweet photo sessions designed specifically for moms and their littles. They’re usually 15–20 minutes long, shot in a dreamy natural light location, and focused on capturing love, connection, and the magic of this fleeting season. I have my clients VOTE on social media each year of where they’d like to have minis, and this year was this GORGEOUS Floral Studio Setup!

These are not stiff or overly posed. Think:

• Snuggles
• Giggles
• Twirls in a flowy dress
• Your baby holding your face in their tiny hands

Why These Sessions Matter So Much

1. You’re Always Behind the Camera

Moms are the memory keepers — always snapping photos, but rarely in them. Motherhood Minis give you a chance to step into the frame and create legacy images that show just how much love surrounds your children.

2. Your Babies Are Growing Too Fast

You blink, and they’ve outgrown the outfit. Then the shoes. Then the stage. These sessions freeze a moment in time that you’ll never get back — but will always be able to look back on.

How to Plan the Perfect Mommy & Me Mini

I get it — you’ve got a diaper bag in one hand, a snack cup in the other, and planning a photo session might feel like a lot. But I promise, it doesn’t have to be stressful. Here’s how to keep it simple:

🌼 1. Choose Soft, Neutral Outfits

Think creams, pastels, warm earth tones, or soft blues. These photograph beautifully and keep the focus on your connection. Flowy dresses for you and simple textures for your little one = effortless magic.

🧺 2. Bring the Essentials

• Wipes (because… kids)
• Snacks (cheerios = magic)
• A favorite toy or lovey
• Their favorite song loaded on your phone (because, dance party!)

🕊 3. Let Go of Perfection

To get beautiful images, I promise you, your child doesn’t have to “perform.” The most beautiful moments are the real ones — holding hands, tickling, cuddling. If they want to run or snuggle or hide in your dress, that’s okay. I’ll guide you gently and capture the authentic love in motion.

When and Where Are Motherhood Minis Offered?

I typically offer Motherhood Minis once a year around spring, and just in time for Mother’s Day, when the light is soft and warm for outdoor sessions, but it’s not too hot, and for mid day sessions we always have an option for the Studio! Every single year I have my clients vote from various ideas I have in my head over on Social Media, and the location(s) with the most votes wins! It’s so fun for me to see what you mama’s want every year, and to deliver these heirloom images of you loving your babies!

✨ Spots are limited and they go quickly — because honestly, once moms experience them, they come back every year. I have been brought to tears every year when these sell out! It’s so so special to me.
