Cheers to Five Years! | Our Arizona Desert Wedding Anniversary Session

April 26, 2013. Our wedding date. How in the world it’s been five years since then blows my mind!

We’ve had such a wonderful life as husband and wife. We’ve built a house & made it a home. We’ve loved, birthed and began to raise two babies.

We are so blessed.

We haven’t been on a vacation away from our children, in basically 4 years! It was long overdue!

We decided to do a staycation at the beautiful Phoenix Marriott Tempe at the Butte’s!

Not only did our glorious staycation involve lots of time lounging by the pool, reading books, yummy dinners, staying up late & sleeping in- we also decided to get Anniversary picture’s taken!!!

If Anniversary sessions isn’t a thing, IT SHOULD BE!!!!

It was so fun to get all dressed up, hair and make up done, rent some pretty dresses and just have fun!

We had a blast getting our pictures taken on our actual wedding day, but this was a whole new level. There was no time crunch, no ceremony or reception to get to, guests to greet- it was just us, the glowy Arizona Sunset, and a few of my wonderful photographer friends!

To my photographer friend’s- thank you so much for being you! For valuing the thought of community over competition. For valuing friendship within an industry! It’s amazing how much I enjoy following along on your social media pages, learning from you, and lifting each other up!

To my husband, thanks for being an awesome sport, and agreeing to get photo’s taken of us! I love them more than you know! Also, thanks for being you.

Life tends to go by so quickly these days; our days are filled with chasing babies, nap times, bed time, running the house hold- I don’t always take the time to tell you how much I love you. There is no one I’d rather be living this crazy fun life with, than you.

Taking the time to reconnect and just be us was so wonderful.
