Candice + Jared | Dreamy Desert Maternity Session

Have you ever been to Arizona in May? If you have, you’re wondering how on earth we did a maternity session, in the open desert, in the middle of summer.

Well, mother nature was on our side, and gave us the breeziest, beautiful evening to capture on camera!

No surprise to me, since Candice is also a photographer, she arrived on location looking gorgeous in her floral dress & heels. Her dude’s even dressed up for the occasion! Deacon, was such a little sweetheart the whole session! He truly loved soaking in these moments with mama. He sat on top of baby brother’s bump like it was a seat, made just for him!

I loved capturing these images for Candice. It brought me back to those precious moments, when your mama heart isn’t sure it can expand, and love another baby just the same. You worry how your first born will feel, how they’ll get along with the new baby, what your relationship will look like once the baby arrives.

& then it happens. You see your first born with your second and you don’t know how you ever lived without them both. Your heart melts. It expands. And there’s love overflowing everywhere.

It’s the greatest gift of motherhood.
