A Salt River Maternity Session

It’s always an absolute honor to photograph a Maternity Session. But it’s an extra humbling and special experience to photograph another photographer’s Maternity Session!

Paige is the owner of Paige Beaubien Photography, and a fellow light and airy photography lover! When she reached out to take her Maternity photo’s, I knew we’d be creating magic! She chose to have her session at the Salt River, here in Arizona, and it was absolutely stunning!

Paige wore a gorgeous white dress from my client closet, that I allow all my maternity client’s access to, and also chose a really beautiful, cacti green dress for her second outfit! Her daughter Hudson, was dressed so sweetly in her light blue and white dress, and her hubby Tryan kept the light and airy look alive with his outfit choices too! They were for sure #wardrobegoals !

The drive to the Salt River was filled with gorgeous cacti, and river views. There are limitless places to photograph there, and it offers a wide variety of backgrounds too. It’s literally the perfect place for a Maternity Session!

One of my favorite parts of Paige’s maternity session, was the sweet little moments of her and her daughter. There were such sweet images captured of her soaking in the snuggles with her first born baby. She know’s the time of her being a mama to one little, is coming to an end.

While every mama anxiously and excitedely awaits the arrival of their second born baby, they always cherish the last few moments with their first born. The one that made them a mama. 

A lot of mom’s, both at Maternity sessions, and in my life as a Labor Nurse, confide in me their feelings of being afraid. Afraid that they won’t love their second child as much as their first. Or that they won’t have enough love to go around. How will their first baby feel when there’s another taking up all their time? Will they be enough? Do they have enough of themselves to give?

The simple answer is yes. You are enough.

Your heart is going to melt and reform when you see your babies together. When you see your husband hold your newborn. When your first baby wants to hold your second baby and falls in love too. When they read the newborn bedtime stories, and want to help with diaper changes, and swaddling, and feedings. All these parts of motherhood as a mama to two are just so much sweeter this time around. And you, Mama? You are the center of their world. You are enough, simply by being you. By loving them, and giving them your all.

Motherhood is the hardest, sweetest, most amazing journey.

+ I am 100%, absolutely blessed to have a career where I get to capture the memories of motherhood. Where I get to watch women become a mother. Encourage them. Empower them. Love of them. Cheer them on.

There is no greater job, I am sure of it.

Thank you for choosing me to capture these precious memories for you. I had an absolute blast laughing at jokes with you, chasing the light, finding pretty locations, and exploring somewhere new.

I am beyond excited for your growing family, and as you learn to be a family of four, just remember, you are MORE THAN ENOUGH.
