A Sentimental River Side Maternity Session | Lindsey + Tim

Lindsey’s Salt River Maternity Session was absolutely beautiful. A sentimental connection to this location, where the four peaks are in view. Tender moments of soaking in the meaning to her, and preparing to meet their third baby, soon. A soft and delicate gown, the beauty of mother nature, and the wild flowers made for such a serene and romantic feel.

Her boys, surrounding her with love, were so darling with their mama. Giving her hugs, and touching their new baby sibling’s bump; all between skipping rocks on the river, and finding sticks, of course ;). Lindsey and Tim chose to wait to find out the sex of their third baby! They are due in May, and I am so excited for them to have the most beautiful surprise of their lives! They are planning to have a cozy and beautiful birth with their midwife, right in their own home. I love that decision for them so much!

Between the adventure of hiking by the river, exploring through the wilderness, playing in the dirt and rocks, the boys had so much fun, and we got some really beautifully candid images of what life is like raising these two! The adventurous moments, the soft moments, and maybe a few of the crazy ones, too! What a beautiful season of life to be in. Nurturing their boys, and growing a new life.

When I sent Lindsey her gallery of images, she sent me back the most beautiful email. I won’t share it all, but I *must* share this, because she so perfectly describes what it is like being pregnant and raising other children…

“Sometimes I forget I’m even pregnant.. this picture puts it all into perspective. I am about to have three children! A dream I’ve dreamt about my entire life. I’ve felt this little soul waiting to come for years… and I realize how big my boys are getting, sometimes we miss that, in everyday life…How blessed and grateful I am.”

I would be lying if I said her email didn’t bring tears to my eyes. She is so right, when we are in the moments of raising our small and beautiful children, we sometimes don’t notice how big our kids are getting. The bustle of everyday life is so beautiful, and consuming. It was such an honor to freeze these precious moments in time for them. To let them just be themselves, and play and love, and remember. Sessions like Linsdey + Tim’s are my favorite. A little splash of the joyful chaos of raising young kids, mixed with all the love a family shares; and the anticipation of another beautiful soul, soon to be in their arms.

Thank you so much for choosing me to photograph your Maternity session. Your growing family is so beautiful. I loved every tender moment, the fun moments, and the sentimental one’s too. You are truly a vision Lindsey. This sweet little soul is so loved already. I cannot wait for your birth, I already know how amazing you will both be. What a beautiful gift we are given, to grow and birth and raise our babies. Thank you for the honor of preserving these moments for you!
