Ehven and Cheyenne’s Phoenix Desert Proposal at Papago Park was not only beautiful, but so much fun! Ehven planned their surprise proposal with Cheyenne’s family, and got in contact with me back in March, as he planned their June Engagement. She was coming out to Arizona to visit her family, and he decided he would fly out, and surprise her here to propose to her!
We chat through location ideas, and he decided on the gorgeous Papago Park! It was so fun to chat with him over the months about his excitement to ask his best friend to marry him. His planning of the ring, when he got it, and all the final details of how they’d get Cheyenne to Papago Park without suspecting it was proposal time!
Her family did such a great job, and should earn an acting award; they told her they were going out for Sushi and she had to get ready and out the door by a certain time. They were to meet other family members at the restaurant, and on the drive there- *the other family members car broke down, and they pulled over at Papago park*. Cheyenne’s mom even talked on the phone with the family members – both pretending there was a break down, and searching for them in the parking lot. Meanwhile…
Ehven was waiting out in the desert, with a gorgeous backdrop, for the love of his life. He was nervous, and so excited. Fashionably dressed, and the ring in his pocket, he waited for her to near a ramada where she would see him standing, waiting for her.
She saw him, and the joy was Immediately seen in her face! She came over to him and they shared a kiss. With her family watching, he told her his heart, and knelt down on one knee, and asked her to marry him! She jumped up and down and excitedly said YES!
They were then surrounded with love and congratulations from their family! We even got to take some family portraits of them all together, and the sweet, thoughtful moments of Ehven giving her mom and dad gifts. To see her dad and Ehven tearily embrace; there wasn’t a dry eye around.
Ehven gave her mom a special gift, one from his heart, and honored them becoming part of his family, too. A gift his own mother loves, and now he was able to give to his soon to be mother in law! He also gave her a piece of jewelry with Cheyenne’s birth stone, and *all the feels*, when he explained it was so that she’d always carry her daughter with her, as Cheyenne soon becomes his wife.
After the family portraits and heartfelt gifts, their family really did go out for dinner, and we snuck away for some couples portraits of just the two of them!

Cheyenne and Ehven have such a fun love. When they laugh and interact, it is FULL of joy that can be felt all around them.
I love how these images capture their true ease and playfulness with one another. I can hear Cheyenne’s laughter in these, and see Ehven’s love for her. They claimed they haven’t had professional photo’s of just the two of them before, but I think they’re naturals in front of the camera! They have this way with one another, it’s hard to explain, but those who are near them, can see it too…
They just..belong.
Between all the laughs, love, gorgeous light, and *HER RING*. Goodness, what a perfect Proposal and Engagement!!
