This blog post is for all my Nurse Practitioners that are opening their own MedSpa! First of all, Congratulations on obtaining your Nurse Practitioner- you go girl! If you didn’t know, I am also a RN, and serving other female medical professionals, and helping them capture beautiful brand imagery is one of my favorite things to do! Today’s blog we are featuring Dana NP, of Lifeline Medspa, and we are going to chat through planning a Studio Brand Session.
- Mood Board: I find it easiest for most new brands to start with a mood board. If you don’t already have brand colors, start there! That will help us plan what type of studio you’ll want to utilize, and what backdrop colors to incorporate, as well as help us plan your outfits! Creating a mood board with colors, tones, vibes, and ideas helps us narrow down what you are envisioning!
- Ideal Client: Think through who you are wanting to reach with your brand and imagery. What clients make your work days not feel like work? What fulfills you the most? Now, break down what they would be looking for. Are they attracted to calm, clean, fresh imagery? Should you incorporate some of the lighter tones of your brand colors? Or does your ideal client prefer a more rich, darker ambiance, leading you to wear the darker end of your brand colors, and choose a space accordingly!
- Location: Choosing a studio space will depend on what aesthetic you are looking for! Natural light is generally abundant in most studio spaces- so you and your photographer will want to work together to see what other things you want access to, such as backdrops and what colors the studio has, chairs/benches, and any decorated walls or blank space.
- Props: My personal opinion is less is more. Choosing props that your clients will see you with, or that directly tie into your services is best. Think of things such as a stethoscope, ipad, laptop, phone, for content ideas. Think of any small service items that you can bring, such as gloves, injection vials, or any other small tools that you want to showcase for upcoming events, sales, service updates etc.
As you scroll through these images of Dana, see if you can pick out some of the topics discussed above. The simple props she chose, the studio that offered backdrop colors that fit her brand, as well as neutral and interesting wall space, and her outfits! When you add it all together, her brand images speak directly to her ideal clients and she can use these images for Social Media, Business cards, Website, and even informational newsletters to her clients!
