Getting The Most Out Of Your Engagement Session : Part I

Getting The Most Out Of Your Engagement Session : Part I

Part I of my series about How to Get the Most Out Of Your Engagement Session!

If you are a current Trisha Rose Bride, than you already know my Engagement Sessions are Complimentary with all of my Wedding and Elopement Packages! I value your Engagement Session SO much for so many reasons, and I want you to get the best out of it, too!

Having an Engagement Session with my couples before their Wedding or Elopement is one of my favorite parts of serving my couples! It gives us a chance to meet each other, and get comfortable together before your Wedding day. You will get a feel for being in front of my camera, and a sense of how I like to mix in poses with candid moments. This makes your Wedding day run sooo smoothly. All your nervous thoughts about meeting your photographer are eased. You’ll remember how I am going to make you feel in front of the camera, and the poses will all come naturally to you!

Having that familiarity on your Wedding or Elopement day really diffuses so many nerves, that you are able to focus on the emotions, feelings, and joy of your day. You can relax, and know you are going to look absolutely stunning in your final images. Leaving you with nothing to do but soak in every second of your Best Day Ever with the Love of your life!!

So, let’s chat a little bit about how to really maximize your Engagement Session Experience!

Staring with RINGS

✨Have your Ring cleaned!

I looove taking a few minutes of time at your Engagement session to get some closeups of your stunning Ring! Having it cleaned at the jeweler before your session gives it that extra sparkle! ✨

✨Treat yourself to a Manicure!

You certainly deserve some R+R time while planning your Wedding or Elopement, and this is a great time to give your potential Wedding day nails a trial run! Then you’ll see how they look on camera with your sparkling Ring and holding your Fiancé’s hand! Don’t have time to get a professional mani? Then my best tip is to either go au-naturale or a home mani with a classy color in nude tones!✨

If you will be wearing open toed shoes, I always recommend getting a Pedicure, too!

Having fresh nails definitely elevates your photo’s! It’s also something that can’t really be changed in “editing”. I want you to feel gorgeous and confident in your images as we take them, never relying on editing. Truthfully, I try my best to get all things just right in camera, so when I show you a sneak peek at the session of the back of my screen, you already have a pretty good idea of how the final gallery is going to look!

Let’s chat HAIR & MAKEUP

✨Go Professional!!

✨ Your Engagement session is the PERFECT time to schedule a trial run with your Wedding Day Hair and Makeup Artist or Team!
This gives you a day of pampering that doubles as a great way to see how your Hair and Makeup will look in your images! This can help you decide if you want to make some tweaks before your big day!
If you plan on keeping your “look” a secret from your Fiancé, don’t tell him it’s your trial ;). They generally have no idea that a trial is even a thing. So call it a day of pampering, and it’s a win win✨

Sensing a theme here?

I want you to have a luxury experience for your Engagement session!

When you think back to your experience, I want you to remember how you felt. How he looks at you. To feel so confident that it shows in the images! You deserve some pampering and relaxation! Planning a day of getting all dolled up for your Engagement session is an experience you will remember! And I don’t know about you, but when I have my hair and makeup done, I WANT IT DOCUMENTED. That’s a rare thing for me, and I for sure want the world to know how great my hair and makeup and outfit looks when I do get dressed up!

So, when prepping for your Engagement Session, drop your ring at the Jewelers for a cleaning, have a spa day and show up to your session feeling ready to have fun, and just be in love!
