Sedona Arizona Fall Elopement | Rachel & Will
It was the perfect Fall day filled with Warmth and the prettiest glow…
On a dreamy October day, in Sedona, Arizona, Rachel and Will Eloped with their closest loved one’s by their side! As they said their vows, the stunning views of the red rocks surrounded them, as well as their parents, best friend, who doubled as their officiant and his wife. It was a perfect Fall day filled with warmth and the prettiest glow. Rachel and Will chose to spend the morning together, getting ready for their Wedding day by each other’s side. Rachel sent me the sweetest message that morning saying they were both getting a little nervous, and excited!
Welcoming their family and friends upon arrival were the beautiful views that Sedona offers. Every direction is another stunning view to take in. Huge mountain scapes that are truly majestic. They arrived early and enjoyed each other’s company as they awaited Rachel and Will’s arrival. I talked with Rachel’s mom about how beautiful Rachel’s dress was, their plans for later in the day, and how excited she was to see her baby girl marry the man of her dreams. I even got to hear a little bit about her parent’s love story, too! Getting to know more about the legacy of love that brought Rachel and Will together was so sweet! It was the perfect start to the best day ever!
Their family headed down to the Elopement location when Rachel+Will arrived. It was really so touching to see all of them watching Rachel and Will as they climbed the path to where they would say I do!
Rachel looked absolutely stunning in her gown from Azteca Bridal, hugging her in all the right places with perfection. Her romantic hairstyle and classic make-up, by Sedona Beauty Team, polished the timeless and feminine feel. Will chose a handsome and classic look with a Black Tux and Bow tie.
They said their hand written vows to one another during their sweet ceremony; it felt like we had the entire forest to ourselves as we watched. Will became a little emotional at the start and may have shed a few tears, which made Rachel giggle about how cute and sweet he is! Their smiles never left their faces. Their parents watched, with joy in their hearts, and on their faces, too. After the ceremony, we hiked a little ways up to find a rock formation to sign the marriage license! Such fun parts of Elopement days, the spontaneous in between moments.
She said I Do to a new home; one that isn’t a place, but a person instead…
Rachel and Will did such a great job planning their Elopement to be exactly what they wanted it to be. Epic views, a ceremony with their closest friends and family, and lots of time alone together on their day to enjoy each other. Rachel talked about how the red dirt and rocks of Sedona, mixed in with the forest pines, reminded her of her home in New Mexico. I love that she thought of that on her Wedding day, a little piece of her old home, as she said I DO to a new home; one that isn’t a place, but a person instead.
Rachel and Will have been together for 9 years, meeting through their best friends. So having Will as “home”, was the easiest yes she has ever said. Their parent’s both shared with us how long their love has been, and how they knew they’d be married. They were so happy to have been able to travel in from out of state to witness the Wedding, too! They stayed in an air bnb to enjoy Sedona and throw a little reception after the Elopement. They then planned to stay in town to visit with the newlyweds before traveling back home.
After the ceremony and photo’s with their loved ones, Rachel and Will were up for a little hike with us to find some stunning views! The sinking sun cast the most beautiful glowy light over Rachel and Will as we took their Husband and Wife portraits. They giggled. The kissed. And they soaked each other in. Officially Married!! That newlywed feeling was palpable. They are such a fun in love, joyful couple! I truly felt like I was hanging out with old friends all day, and a smile never left my face either! I think you can really see how much they love each other, and enjoy each other’s company here in their images!

Rachel and Will,
Thank you so much for choosing me to photograph your Elopement Day! I hope when you look through your gallery, and see images from your Wedding Day printed and hanging on the Walls of your home, that you remember how much love and joy filled you both as you said your vows to one another. That they remind you when the seasons get hard, and when they’re too good to be true, that you’re always home when you’re together.
