Winter Romance: A Downtown Phoenix Wedding at the Ice House Venue Arizona

In the heart of Downtown Phoenix, Deanna and Will’s love story unfolds where the city lights illuminate the streets, and they say their vows against the backdrop of urban sophistication at the Icehouse Venue in Arizona. The two said “I Do” surrounded by family and friends; the warmth of love met the cool elegance of the cityscape. In this bustling urban landscape, a historic downtown Phoenix Ice House turned urban Wedding Venue becomes the stage for their romantic Wedding, where the beauty of the season meets the timeless vows of commitment.

Montana boy meets New York girl, and become an Arizona Husband and Wife! Their Wedding day was filled with family and friends from all three of their home’s, and their hearts favorites gathered to celebrate their love! Traveling from near and far, and soaking in the absolutely perfect Arizona Winter. During their engagement, Deanna and Will decided to celebrate with all their loved one’s- going on an Engagement Celebration tour to their home towns, and celebrating here in Arizona. They also chose to have a beautiful Desert Engagement Session– knowing they’d have a more modern vibe for their Wedding portraits, it was the perfect choice!

For their Wedding day they chose a Chic color palette, champagne’s and deep maroon’s mixed with soft grey, complimenting the feel of the season, and adding that touch of elegance that paired beautifully with the urban venue vibes.

Deanna began her day getting ready with her girls, in the stunning bridal suite with hair and makeup by Jackie Leigh. One of Deanna’s long time friends from her home in Long Island, New York. A beautiful way to add a special touch to her wedding day. The girls sipped mimosas in cute bridesmaid PJ’s as they listened to music, and got all the glam.

Will and the boys played games in the groom’s area, partaking in groomsmen-ly camaraderie, with a side of healthy competition. Getting “ready” is always much quicker for the guy’s. Once the men and girls were all ready, we got some gorgeous bridal portraits highlighting different areas of the venue. Once a true Ice House- nestled in the heart of Downtown, with train tracks on one side, and the busting city on the other- it is a true historic Gem of the city. Harboring many unique and portrait worthy spaces.

Deanna and Will chose to have a first look and private vow reading. Hidden away in the gorgeous Cathedral Room, they saw one another for the first time. Deanna was beaming as she gently tapped Will on the shoulder. He turned and saw his beautiful bride, and was overcome with emotion. Embracing and smiling, he then took a 360 view of her, soaking in every detail. Sweetly, they whispered to one another, and read their handwritten, heartfelt vows to each other. Deanna was a vision, absolutely beaming as they read their vows.

Family and the bridal party joined them together, and the excitement was palpable. Deanna’s grandma was her number one fan, all day. Taking darling cell phone photo’s of little moment’s here and there, and when we took a photo of the two of them, she was filled with pride and joy, and the sweetness of the emotions was so beautiful to see. During the ceremony, her grandma was the flower grannie, and it was the absolute cutest! What a blessing to have families like Deanna + Will’s surrounding them as they start their life together. Cheering them on, and just pouring their love into the newlyweds!

The Ceremony was officiated by a long time friend of Deanna’s, and now a friend of Will’s, too. Deanna was walked down the aisle by both her mother and father, a heartfelt moment for all to witness. Will and Deanna were both overcome with emotion when they saw one another as she walked down the aisle. Holding hands, they steadied one another. Their officiant knew them so well; he began the ceremony by having all the guests greet one another, calling it an ice breaker therapy tactic, making everyone laugh. He continued with the perfect ceremony for Deanna and Will, inciting inside joke’s the two of them knew, and making the guests laugh as well. The joy in the room was evident on everyone’s faces. Once announced as Husband and Wife, Will dipped Deanna and kissed her as all their family and friends cheered to the Newlyweds!

After the ceremony, Deanna and Will spent time at the cocktail hour with their loved one’s, indulging in an absolutely beautiful charcuterie display, celebrating, embracing, and sharing in signature drinks; The Four Amigos. Referencing their love of their four dogs, a creative and fun way to incorporate their fur babies into their Wedding day!

Sneaking away from cocktail hour, they walked downtown, soaking in some alone time together, and we took some Husband and Wife portraits encompassing the vibes of Downtown Phoenix. From the architecture of historic buildings, to clean modern vibes, to cityscape walks, it was the perfect backdrop for a few portraits before the reception began.

They entered the reception space to cheers from their family and friends, their bridal party surrounding them as they all danced together. Deanna and Will gave a heartfelt speech to their family and friends, and danced their first dance as Husband and Wife. I love watching their parents during the first dance. The sweetest emotions show as they watch their children, in love and officially married. They then danced with their parents, Will with his Mom, Deanna with her Dad, and then surprising her Mom with a Mother Daughter Dance, too. Moments all will cherish for a lifetime.

Open Dancing began, and the delicious Wood Fired Pizza’s were served, along with pasta and salads. Guests went out to the cocktail area to mingle and fill their plates with all the Pizza options. As they were on site firing the pizza’s, the absolutely freshest pizza’s came out of the oven non-stop and were a huge hit with all (including us! Seriously so good).

Deanna and Will had their favorite drinks, and danced the night way with their best friends and family, wearing fun props, taking photo’s in the photo booth, and dancing with glow sticks as the ambiance of evening turned into nightfall. Out in the Cathedral room, guests played yard games, and watched and chat with one another, snuggled with cozy blankets with the soft outdoor lights overhead creating an inviting feel.

Surprising their guests with a delicious dessert, they had Mister Softee Ice Cream truck come on site, and serve up soft serve cones with all the best flavors! Deanna and Will got their favorites, and shared the cutest newlywed, Ice Cream kiss to end the night!
