Pregnant during Summer but still want outdoor photos? Let’s chat all my best tips for planning an outdoor Summer Maternity Photoshoot! Featuring Amanda’s Prescott, Arizona Lakeside Maternity Photos
Consider going North:
If you’re from Phoenix, or another really warm area during the Summer, consider having an adventure maternity session, where we travel north! On this particular day, it was 108 in Phoenix, and during sunset hours in Prescott, it was all the way down to 79. That’s a HUGE difference, especially when you’re pregnant, and wearing beautiful gowns.
Consider being near or *in* water:
Being near the water already cools things down. Especially if you’re open to getting partially in the water as well (usually towards the end of the session). Not only is being near the water really beautiful, it’s also so calming and serene. You can add being near water to being up north, or if you don’t want to travel, I would highly recommend being open to being IN the water if you’re staying local to the Phoenix area.
Consider Sunrise:
While this beautiful Prescott session was during sunset hours, sunrise light offers the same golden hour glow. The added bonus is that it’s generally about 20 degrees cooler outside! Plus, there’s usually not a lot of other people around at sunrise, so you have whatever location you choose basically all to yourself!
