Prescott Arizona Maternity Session | Kendra

Lavender, Lace, and Tulle, Oh my! Kendra’s Maternity session was both feminine and romantic. The soft touches of Fall colors, and the feeling of the changing of seasons to Winter in Prescott, Arizona, it was the perfect backdrop for celebrating their baby girl.

Kendra and Ryan married in the Spring of 2021, with a gorgeous church ceremony, and dreamy desert husband and wife portraits. They had a beautiful day getting ready at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge, and hosting their Reception at Hope Barn and Gardens. But the most beautiful part? The love they share, and their families surrounding them as they said I do.

Kendra and Ryan met on a blind date, set up by a mutual friend. She said he was the first person to ever call her on the phone for a date. Proof that being a gentleman pays off! Their first date ended up being hours long. Who knew a blind date would lead to forever? He proposed to her after dancing in the kitchen with a record playing, as they enjoyed the sunset outside, he decided it was the perfect time..and, well, you know the rest 😉

Kendra recently posted the sweetest thought on social media. She said how she has looked forward to being a mother all her life; married to the man of her dreams. How surreal is it to know that you’re living the days you dreamed of and prayed for. One of life’s greatest blessings; motherhood with your husband by your side.

She wanted to go on an adventure for her Maternity session to the beautiful pines of Prescott, Arizona. The late November crisp air, the last touches of Fall, and first signs of Winter. We had it all. All the beauty of God’s work right before our eyes. Especially mine. A mother to be is one of the most beautiful sights and a true miracle. To grow a life within, and love this baby so much more than you knew was possible. It was truly an honor to be there in Nature with her to document these memories.

She chose to wear a stunning blush gown by Desert Gowns. Giving the feel of whimsical Romance. She wore the shoes she wore on her wedding day. A stunning pair of Badgley Mischka’s! The sentimental piece of having something from her Wedding day on during her Maternity photo’s just brings me back to her feelings of looking forward to this moment for as long as she can remember.

Her second gown was a beautiful, off the shoulder, deep red lace dress. We moved into the Forest, and it gave the feel of a Crisp Winter Day. She popped off the background and looked truly breathtaking.

For her third and final gown, she chose a lavender and lace gown. We walked down to the by the water to get a stunning view of the lake behind her as the sun set. The soft fall colors of the forest in the subtle light gave the feeling of being in a woodland paradise. We took a few moments to just soak it all in. We felt like we had the forest to ourselves and marveled at all the beautiful colors and backdrops of the world. Giving thanks that we are blessed to see them all!

Kendra’s Maternity session was truly the most beautiful way for me to end my 2021 season. All the feels and views. The sentimental pieces. The lavender, lace and tulle. Absolute perfection. I reflected as I edited her Maternity gallery about how thankful I am for her, and clients like her. She and her family have supported my dream since the very beginning. Booking me to photograph their extended family year after year. Then getting a sweet DM on instagram when she got engaged, saying that she will be needing Engagement Photo’s soon. To photographing her and Ryan’s Engagement Session, and their Wedding Day! And Now, I got the absolute honor of photographing their sweet baby bump, as they await the arrival of their first born, a girl!

Life is so darn good, and I hope to never forget to take these moments of gratitude and soak in them! Just as Kendra did as we photographed her Maternity session. These sweet sweet seasons of life! Thank you Kendra for the honor. You are absolutely stunning, and I cannot wait to see you with your sweet girl in your arms, and to watch you and Ryan as parents! I will be forever cheering you on!
